Lakeside Studio has been constructed in accordance with the ideas of musician Heinz Affolter. 20 years of experience as a sound engineer and ownership of his former studio ‚The Place' in Lucerne laid the path for the inspirational core leading to the realization of the ‚Lakeside' project. The conception and planning were carried out by the Recording Architects Roger d'Arcy, Hugh Flynn and Nick Whitacker from London. Building the studio from the ground up created an environment offering perfect conditions in terms of achieving optimal acoustical results.
Lakeside Studio not only represents a recording studio with up to date technology and perfect acoustics, it also offers a wonderful atmosphere for the creative musician or producer not the least because of its unique picturesque location right by the beach of lake Sempach.
CONTROL ROOM - An acoustically optimally built control room, ready for surround sound, with a lot of space to work in. Lots of daylight and a direct view of the lake!!
RECORDING ROOMS - Because of their well thought-out conception, the recording rooms at Lakeside Studio offer an absolutely unique opportunity for great separation of microphone signals during ‚live recordings' in the studio: 4 (!) acoustically completely isolated rooms are available. Visual contact from all rooms is guaranteed by large windows or glass doors.
(Mainstudio, Mediumstudio, Drum Room, Vocal Room) Also unique is the availability of 4 completely independent headphone mixes for each room.
In addition to the rooms there are 2 big boxes outside in the corridor offering total isolation of mic'd guitar signals.
GUITAR ‚ROOMS‘ - A unique feature is the possibility to record guitar cabinets and Combos acoustically isolated in two especially built boxes. They are big enough to allow the cabinets to ‚breathe'. All lines and connectors for microphones, guitar line signals and loudspeaker cables are available.
Total Recall (all parameters can be stored!) on the Soundtracs 'Virtua' digital console. 64 channels, compressor and gate in every channel, motorised faders. Full dynamic automation on EQ's, gates, compressors.

Lakeside Studio is perfect for mastering your recordings. The ATC
300 monitorsystem in the acoustically designed control room provides
you with a perfect mirror-like image of your mixes allowing you
to hear the slightest sound- and level corrections, to make inaudible
edits and musical fades.
Probably every desirable plug-in is available. Your master CD will
end up sounding very powerful with no loss of dynamics.
We will make a CD compilation of your mastered song titles, including
PQ-codes and indexes written on a Redbook standard compatible CD-master,
ready for manufacturing a glass master in the CD-factory or simply
for your own personal copies.
